San Millan has been our hotel of choice for about 10 years, for us it is the perfect option.

The staff are all very pleasant and some of them speak really good english, which helps if you have a problem. We have never bothered with the breakfast, but the small bar does coffee and snacks.

There is a small downside and that is that you can hear the noise from the gym, most of the time its not too bad, but on the odd occasion there is very loud music. Although there is a fairly good sized car par, parking can be a problem at times when the gym is busy.

As always, the staff were so lovely. Always kind and ready to help. All the staff, including the housekeepers, greeted me with a cheerful greeting each day.

Sadly, the place has become tired and in need of decorating and flooring. It is a shame because all the staff work so hard, but the overall impression isn't good. Worn or stained carpets on stairs. Marks on the bedroom walls, etc. I have to say, though, that it is very clean, and the bed is very comfortable. Perfect location for buses into the city or beeches.I love the place, but it is probably in need of a bit of TLC.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION

The location to Santander Port is great. Good dog friendly beach just 15 mins drive away. Carrefour and big shops a short 5 minute drive away. Local Patisserie around the corner (Peter & Pan) open 6am until 9pm every day. Food is delicious and so much better than the congealed tapas in the hotel. The hotel has a very busy gym. The gym/spa and hotel share the same reception area. Spa is modest but worth the small cost. You have to wear a swim hat and flip flops. Pool is pretty small.

The noise from the banging of the weights in the gym. Resounding in the bedroom. I could hear arguments in the room next door to me until 1pm, when I finally asked to be moved as I had ferry next morning. The extra costs for the dogs is extortionate. I think it should be based on how much mess is left and pay accordingly. My dogs are extremely clean and don't make a mess. To pay so much extra for 2 dog beds which they obviously wouldn't sleep in because they have other dogs smells, seemed a bit of a joke ... on me. I'm a solo traveller so am always getting double whammied for paying for the room then all the extra costs on top....A room is a room. I think children would probably make more mess than my 2 well behaved dogs!!!

This was my second visit to this hotel and will be coming back again.

Didn't have the breakfast but the dinner was very good and good value for money. Excellent location for catching the ferry to Portsmouth.

Wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again, it was good value and clean.

It was a stopover before we caught the ferry from Santander so its location wasn't important to us. The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and very clean.it had complementary on site car parking

We had travelled 10 hours by car from Murcia and dinner didn't start until 2030. This was far too late when you need something to eat when you had travelled a long distance.

Convenient for our ferry departure But disappointed with all facilities and very expensive.

We did not stay for breakfast. As it was an extra charge The hotel was expensive for 1 room only Plus they charged 10€ each dog extra for 3 tiny dogs .who are extremely well behaved in total it was 101€ for a 12 hour stay in a basic room. Very expensive for a 3 star hotel .

The hotel was very difficult to find .Plus the pictures and descriptions were nothing like we expected. Also it is discribed as a large garden with grounds were we could walk the dogs. Extremely disappointed.

Very Good

I love the staff. They are always so friendly and helpful. The rooms are kept to a high standard of cleanliness. The beds are comfortable, and the prices are reasonable. Access to the city centre is so easy thee hotel. I visit regularly to see my daughter, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Although the food is good, there is no restaurant service during the weekend. However, the bar does serve some food just not a full menu.

Very Good

Good location and plenty of parking. Friendly staff and was able to take my dog into the cafe which was good as couldn't leave her in the bedroom.

The only downside was having to use the lift which is not always easy when you have a dog and luggage.

Pleasant Hotel, Spa, Gym and Parking

Reception: Very helpful receptionist who did everything she could to make us feel very welcome. Large reception area, with small bar and outside seating area. Accommodation: Large spacious rooms, T.V. comfortable beds with fresh clean linen. Cleaning, rooms were immaculate. Great views over Santander. Breakfast: Mixture of continental and cooked which was an extra payment of 5 or 10 euros depending on who had what. Very good. Spa and 2 whole floors dedicated to a gym. Parking: Large carpark right at door of hotel. Travel: Bus a five-minute walk away. Cultural Experience: Caves of Altamira

No evening meals provided. The use of the SPA is not included in the room price. You have to purchased a swim cap and flip flops in order to use the SPA (unless you know this in advance)

Would stay again as good value for money

Easy to find, good car parking and dog friendly

Old fashioned radiator heating in rooms, they were not on hence the room was cold, luckily there were extra blankets in the closet so we managed to to stay warm
